William Hemsworth, antique dealer in Ripon, Yorkshire, was, according to their own publicity, established in 1895; Hemsworth also the Mayor of Ripon during the 1920s, and was instrumental in the restorations to the 13th century 'Wakeman's House' in Ripon.
