Antique Dealers: the British Antique Trade in the 20th Century

Stoner and Evans

Stoner & Evans were specialist dealers in ceramics; according to their own publicity they were established in 1890. George Stoner died in 1920, aged 50, and the business was continued by his sons Frank and Malcolm. Malcolm Stoner began his own antique dealing business by the late 1930s (see entry for Malcolm Stoner).

George Stoner was one of the founding members of the BADA in 1918.
