James Partridge appears to have opened his antique dealing business in about 1900. There was an auction sale of his stock of 'Old English Furniture' at The Old Grammar School, Alvechurch, Worcester in 1923 (?), when it was reported that 'owing to ill-health he was giving up the business of antique dealer.'
