Keeble were established in the mid 19th century as cabinetmakers; Francis Henry Keeble opened a furniture business by 1866 in Rupert Street, London. By 1899 the firm was being run by two sons of Francis Keeble and were major decorators in the period, working at well-known buildings such as Leeds Castle and Berkeley Castle in the period after the First World War.
