Leonard Partridge was a family member of the antique dealing businesses, he established his shop, according to his own publicity, in 1901. Leonard entered into a partnership with the dealer Basil Dighton in the 1920s; the partnership was dissolved in 1930. Leonard continued as a dealer into the 1940s.
