Cameo Corner

Cameo Corner were, according to their advertisements of c.1940s, established in 1908. They were appointed 'Dealer in Antiques to Queen Mary' before the 1940s. The business was owned and run by the jeweller, writer, sculptor and 'mystic', Moshe Ovid (1885-1958); a.k.a. Edward Goodack, and Edward Good.  Ovid was born in Poland and immigrated to London in 1903; he was also founder of the Ben Uri Society in 1915, The London Jewish Museum of Art.

By the mid 1960s the directors of the business were H.J. Binder, F.A. Cook, R.W.G. Macpherson, R. M. Smith, H. A. Clarke and I.J. Good Yemaiel Oved.
