James Connell & Sons were well known as 'Picture Dealers' in the late 19th and 20th centuries - they also traded in Antique Furniture and Old China - they held an exhibition of 'Old English Porcelain' at their Glasgow Gallery in 1910 and an exhibition of 'Old Furniture' at the Glasgow gallery in c.1915.
