Wylton Antiques was owned by A.R. & P.J. Payne and was established in 1959; the business continued at High Street, Melton Mowbray until c.1983. Their son, Christopher Payne, is a well known antiques expert on The Antiques Roadshow. By the 1960s the directors of the business were A.R. Payne, G.H. Dixon and M.J. Marsh.
