H.C. Foot was established by Captain H.C. Foot RN. During WWII Captain Foot was on active service and the business was managed by the Bath-based antique dealer Mr Jarman. Foot's private residence was Nash's Cottage, Combe, Oxfordshire, which was described and illustrated in an essay in Antique Collector in May 1945.
