Lennox Cato began trading in 1978 in a small shop in The Lanes in Brighton. Lennox is originally from Grenada and was adopted by the Brighton antique dealer Dicky Compton in the early 1960s. The business relocated to London Road, and then Upper North Street in Brighton; then to 'Coombe House Antiques' in Lewes in 1988, before moving to Edenbridge in 1997, to the shop previously occupied by the antique dealers 'Chevertons of Edenbridge'.
