Law, Foulsham & Cole were established, according to their own publicity, in 1905, and became leading specialist dealers in antique ceramics. They appear to have been general antique dealers, and indicated that they were 'decorators, upholsterers and general furnishers' in their publicity materials in the 1920s; the firm closed down in 1936, following the retirement of Charles Law and announced a 'realisation sale' in 'preparatory to closing down' in the November 1936 issue of Apollo.
Charles Alfred Law was one of the founding members of the BADA in 1918 and was the second president of the BADA in 1919.
