John Bly antiques were established, by repute, in 1891 by John Bly, but has roots into the early 19th century, under the auspices of William Bly. John Bly (snr) opened a cabinet-maker, house furnisher and antique furniture business at 22 High Street, Tring by the 1890s. Frank Bly (d.2000), William's son, continued the business, before John Bly (b.1939) entered the business in 1960.
