A.G. Askew was the son of A.J. Askew - (A.J. Askew was a well-known writer 'Walks and Talks about Shere' published in the 1920 (Shere is in Surrey). A.J. Askew also ran an antique business in Godalming. According to their own publicity in the 1960s they were established in 1905.
