E.T. Biggs & Son

E.T. Biggs, were, according to their own advertisements, established in 1866. Charles Gordon Biggs, managing director of the firm in the 1950s, died aged 72 in July 1957; C. B. Biggs worked at the antique silver dealers William Bruford in Exeter, becoming managing director at that firm before leaving after WWII and taking the managing director role at his family firm E.T. Biggs.  After the death of C.B. Biggs the firm continued under the directorship of Roy Stamp.

C.B. Biggs was a leading authority of antique silver, and was a member of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths and Prime Warden of the Company for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
