Antique Dealers: the British Antique Trade in the 20th Century

Great Brampton House Antiques was established by Pamela Howell (later Lady Pidgeon) in 1969.  Pamela and Major Francis Howell ran the business until the death of Francis Howell in 1984; in 1993 Pamela married Sir John Pidgeon and they continued to trade as Great Brampton House Antiques until Lady Pidgeon retired in 2008.  Bonhams held an auction sale of the remaining collections at Great Brampton House on 1st October 2008.
