William Bruford & Sons were primarily antique silver dealers, established in 1869, but also sold antique furniture and works of art during the 1920s and 1930s. They appear to have acquired the antique silver dealers J.Ellett Lake & Son in the late 1920s. According to their own publicity they were established as silversmiths in Exeter in 1721. The business of W. Bruford & Son Ltd was established in 1922.
