H. Wolf (who appears to have dropped the 'e' in his surname by the 1960s) was influential in the assembly of the collections of Oriental porcelain and antiques owned by Mr Horton, of Shrawley Wood House, Worcestershire; Horton was a member of the Vernon family of Hanbury Hall, Worcestershire.
