Alexander Podd

Alexander Podd started dealing in the 1921, at Old Caledonian Market in North London. From his shop in Davies Street in London Podd was known in the pre WWII period as 'The Regency King' for specializing in Regency furniture. His Davies Street shop was bombed in the London Blitz in 1942 and he moved to Dunstable. Henry Podd (1931-1968) died aged 47, having worked for his father Alexander for over 25 years. Alexander Podd & Sons Ltd was established in 1961.

Alexander Podd & Sons Limited went into formal liquidation on 24th August 1979.
